The Wizard of Oz movie has been digitally re mastered. Can you believe it, it is the 70th Anniversary of the movie this year. According to Wikipedia, the Wizard of Oz is the most popular movie ever, it is shown annually on television and attracts more fans every year. It starred:

Judy Garland
Frank Morgan
Ray Bolger
Bert Lahr
Jack Haley
Billie Burke
Margaret Hamilton
Charley Grapewin
Clara Blandick

How could you forget Judy Garland when she was only 16 years old, wore the famous sequined shoes. In the original book they were silver, but when they changed the movie to color they changed the color to ruby red so they would show up better against the the yellow brick road. She had several pairs of the shoes during the film.

Ray Bolger was the Scarecrow, one of the trio of friends who tags along with Dorothy to the Emerald City in The Wizard of Oz.

The costume was loosely fitting so that Bolger could perform the funny dance number “If I Only Had a Brain.” A sponge-rubber mask, that looked like burlap, completed the Scarecrow’s costume. They say that the mask was stifling, and had to be replaced on a regular basis.

The Technicolor Camera, was invented in 1932 and used in this movie around 1938

This was the greatest part of the movie when Dorothy’s journey from Kansas to Oz shifts from black and white to Technicolor.
The Technicolor camera recorded on three separate negatives—red, blue, and green—which were then combined to develop a full-color positive print. The box around the camera was called a blimp which muffled the machine’s sound during filming.
